Porcelain Cylinder VI
by Paul Wearing
2021 Series
Porcelain
9h x 8w cm
These porcelain pots are Paul's recent exploration of how the glazes he has used on grogged stoneware for many years behave with bisque-fired surfaces. In areas they unite, fluxing together, and in others, the glazes crawl, peel and pull away from the body, revealing multiple layers and the body beneath. They embrace imperfection and allow the materials to express themselves through their interactions.
